Help on painting CF hood!
Hey guys,
pretty new here but have ordered a CF M3 hood and am now confused on how I should paint it and what should be left unpainted! Really open to opinions and pics! |

Is it vented or just the powerdome? If it's just the powerdome, I would leave the powerdome unpainted and paint the rest of the hood. You want some CF exposure to show off but completely unpainted looks wrong IMO.

Hey take a look at these pics
The red 335i has a CF hood custom painted. His name on the site is Terrance28 send him a PM if you have any question on how to paint the hood.

have hard edges on the fronts and sides of the powerdome exposed carbon fiber, than fade back into paint on the back of the dome as it smooths into the rest of the hood.
