A thread for GoPro videos!

Anyone else into making GoPro videos? I recently made this one for a family cruise trip. I've seen some car GoPro videos on this forum but how about other stuff you guys made or any other interesting videos created using the GoPro camera. Just looking to get more cool ideas for use with this camera.

Also if you guys have an editing program you can recommend for putting together videos that would be cool. For now im stuck using windows movie maker. LOL

I use iMovie.

Most of mine are car videos.... but there are some others as well!

Here are a few:

NON CAR (these aren't only GoPro though, just some GoPro footage stitched in)

What is the importance of it being GoPro specifically? Are you a brand fan trying to promote the brand?

Cool video btw!

Cruise looked like fun.

To be honest though, aside from the car videos I posted, my latest trip, I just used my iPhone5 with a waterproof lifeproof case to take video. Quality seemed to be better, unless you really really like the fisheye lens on the GoPro. To me... other than for motorports, I don't really use my GoPro

Took my iPhone skiing, kayaking, into the ocean, the pool/waterslides, etc with those lifeproof cases!

There are some other good action cams on the market, but GoPro has dominated the market much like the iPod with MP3 players. Most reviews of multiple products come out with the GoPro on top. The video quality is quite amazing for the size, but audio has some to be desired. That and the tons of mounts and applications and quality of the product have made it the dominant product.

I got my GoPro a few months ago. Did an autocross with it and used it for when I went to Nurburgring. I use it when I go for bike rides just in case something happens, but never save the videos. Right now I'm using the GoPro software for editing, but I'm not a fan. I used to have Adobe Premier, but lost it with a hard drive crash. I've been using Adobe for years so thats what I like and what I am used to.

Lol nah I shoulda titled it action cams... If anyone is using any other camera I would like to see those as well. Gopro has dominated the market but if there is anything better out there I'd like to give it a try!

Awesome videos!

I need to try iMovie out. Is it really fast loading the videos and everything into iMovie? I have a fast pc but it still takes long lol

I'm having a hard time taking good pictures with the gopro but the videos come out nice. On the gopro Facebook somehow people are taking amazing pictures.

Thanks man!

I think it's more the internals of the computer that affect load time. My Mac is a little bit over two years old now, but it's running a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM; but the biggest thing is the Solid State Drive HardDrive. Only has 256GB of HD space though (I bought my computer when Apple was charging up the a** if you wanted a SSD over the normal flash memory).

Videos load and buffer amazingly fast though, iMovie is flawless for me (and since I'm not a professional movie maker, I don't really need Final Cut).

Pictures with GoPro are weird, they've never turned out well for me. I honestly prefer my iPhone5 better... and I use my Nikon D7000 when I really want to shoot!

It is the DCT. Shift nob is same as a normal 335i, but the actual transmission is Dual Clutch. It seems like there is a BMW DCT (335is/135i(s)) and an MDCT (M cars)
It is different from the M3 though (which is more like a manual where you need to pull the hand brake while in neutral in order to put the car in park).

I've driven my friend's brand new M3 back to back with my car. I like the shift nob in the M3 much more (it's just cooler and more manual like/race-car like I guess). But transmission/shifting wise; the shifts in my 335is were just as aggressive on upshifts and downshifts and seemed just as quick.

Nope! I make sure the place I'm mounting the suction cup on the mount is clean.

I wish I had my GoPro when I had my Evo, it would have been nice to compare braking points and driving lines at the track.
