$1,500 off MSRP!

Literally just came home from placing my order:

Base MSRP $56,500
Alpine White
Premium package $1900
Titanium Shadow Trim $0
Cold Weather Package $750
Technology Package $3,250
Satellite radio $595
Ipod $400
Destination & Handling: $775
Gas Guzzler Tax: $1,300
Total MSRP $65,470

After 3 rounds of negotiation got the price down to $64,000 flat.

Dealership: VOB BMW
1300 Rockville Pike
Rockville, MD 20852

I'm ecstatic considering I went in thinking there was no room for negotiation w/ the M3. Delivery was said to be 8 weeks...Let the wait begin!!!

8 weeks delivery? Now that's fast! Did they already have one allocated and build that you took over? Sounds like somebody dropped out of a buy...no way you could get an allocation and a build date that soon...some guys are still waiting for builds who placed orders 6-8-12 months ago.

So congrats if you're getting $1500 off AND a car in 8 weeks for sure!

Heheh - as gay as it sounds i couldnt sleep last night after placing the order, thats why im even up this early on a saturday...

But to answer your question regarding delivery, from shopping around at the 4 local dealerships, the allotment of M3 builds each dealership gets varies depending on their annual capacity. VOB BMW in rockville is on of the largest dealerships in North America hence they're able to do 8 weeks. I went to a smaller dealership 30 mins north (Silver Spring) and was told a delivery of 6 mts.

Can they do 8 weeks? who knows...I'm just excited as hell to have the car of my dreams finally on order

Congrats...I am very familiar with VOB as well... my sales guy for my e46 M3 CPO was there as was my X5 3.0 purchased from there. So yeah I know them well. I was just wondering about the 8 weeks deal. Did they give you a production # and build date? If not then check back with your CA cause if you're getting your car in 8 weeks you build date should be like almost now. Remember it will take about 3-4wks to ship your car, get it through VPC and to your dealer for delivery. That's why I was saying VOB must have had some unused production slot or somebody fell out to get an allocation AND a build date this close. I remember talking to my guy last fall and was told the list was soo long I'd not have a car until fall winter...and a few guys on the forum who have taken a VOB delivery ordered waay back.

So just make sure you're getting the right info. I have a 19 May week production date and even still my car won't get here for delivery estimated until 30 June 08 they're telling me (Mil Sales). Also go the the Owners Circle at BMW online and enter in your info...it should verify what the dealer is saying. If not go ask serious questions. But most of all ENJOY your M3 when it arrives! Oh yeah and post pics! LOL

Good job. Make sure to discuss the doc and any other bogus fees that you should not be paying. You don't want them slapping them on there later on...

the more feedback ur giving me i find it hard to believe i'll get my car in 8 weeks...they're entering my order on Monday and then i'll have my info to login to the BMW production website...

by biggest question is, once i get that car, how wonder how many STD's the car is going to get me....sexxxxxy time...hahaha.

They can do 8 weeks, I was on of the first allocated for VOB and went status 112 February 6th. The car was at VPC march 20th would have taken delivery March 30th but I chose to performance center delivery so I pick up my car April 30th.

ananta, hey no problemm check the sticky on top of the this forum, the order tracking guide it will show you what all of these numbers mean, for example 112 is when the car is scheduled for production. VPC is vehicle preparation center. My combination was silverstone II with black novillo leather, sycamore anthracite wood, technology and premium packages, the 19's and IPOD USB adapter. Actually I had a sales woman Nan Wong, she has been a family friend for a while now and this the the 5th BMW my family has bought from her. Honestly I was quite surprised you were able to under MSRP considering the relationship I have with my SA. Hey good negotiations and definitly do the performance center delivery, but sign up now because spots fill up quickly. Yes it is in SC, Greenville to be more exact as I am finding out getting reasonable flights there is almost impossible and very costly. Who would have expected a 1.5 hour flight to cost $500! My SA just came back from it and told me it was an experience of a lifetime well worth the wait.

Yah I had 2 references for my SA...but I wonder if my 1500 off MSRP shows some kind of a trend? Perhaps the car is not as high a demand as they had expected? I mean w/ the V8, gas prices, economy, etc...all factors which should be hurting sales...just speculating.

wow dude...500 bucks for that short a flight is some BS...we're going flying to europe next month for that price..lol. i'll see i might do it...not 100% sure.

anyways... ur only a few days from getting ur car...w/ the weather getting warm u prolly cant wait. pics pics pics!

where abouts in Siver Spring r u? im in NW DC...tenleytown.

ananta, yea 7 more days until I get my M! I thought about the train but there is only one that leaves union station and that is at 6pm and won't arrive in SC until 4am. I am going to rent a car and drive the 500 miles to Greenville. So yes I am ready and yes there will be lots of pics! I live in the Aspen hill area, Georgia avenue north off of layhill road. I work in Georgetown and drive past Tenleytown everyday, if you see a Silverstone m3 next week it's going to be me.
