I don't want to do the LCI trunk/tail light conversion. My tail lights are currently cherry smoked. I'd like to see what other guys with the 08 e90s have done with their tail lights.... Go....

Personally, I did the LCI conversion. Since you're sticking to pre-LCI, you might find this thread of interest:

I switched the inner half of the lights with the reverse light with the oem blacklines

It's just transparent red vinyl installed by a tint shop.

I'm kinda digging the half Blacklines too. The clear inner taillight is too much of an eye sore.

Here's mine excuse the crappy cell phone pics this is the Mars tail lights I got them from the first group buy on here not cheap but worth every penny. I also have a 09 328i with Lci tail lights and I honestly like the Mars better because the signals turn on yellow. I don't think it's worth going through all that trouble repainting panels for just lights but that's just me.

I picked up a pair of bone stock tails recently, I picked up the paint and other supplies, been searching how to's for sometime now, I think I'll give it a go once the weather gets nicer. Gonna try for that all red look, really liking that.

I'd recommend trying red vinyl first. Looks perfect even up close.
