Just trying to catch up with what else I missed last week.

If I proceed at this rate, it will be broken-in in about a week, and BMWNA does not have the parts to service it yet!

I was thinking the same thing when my car was on order. Man that sucked.

Congrats swamp! Your options rock.

Swamp, congrats.... Nice car except the aluminum trim.

I have aluminum trim in my 335xi....and it is ass but it was that or shitty wood for me. Get the carbon trim, it is subdued when compared to the M6....very nice and more suitable to the M3's character.

Ditch the aluminum.

2. Isn't it just a raw aluminum color and isn't it really made of aluminum?

Hopefully I can just pop down at a dealer and see it. If I don't like it I would consider Ti Shadow but I just can not warm up to the CF leather. No matter how you slice it I view it as an imitation of CF and I have serious problems with that. I certainly do not think it looks bad.
Just follow what your heart tells you ..., after all the car is for you.

If you don´t like CF leather, that´s ok. Go for the aluminum trim.
I were checking the trims available for US spec cars and the blue-gray aluminum trim is the one i like more ( besides CF ).

Best Regards, Maika

My dealer had a FR extended with Aluminum- I though it looked sweet. It really creates a nice separation and contrast between the black and the red leather. I don't like red as a color but i think it will look greet having seen it in real life. Congrats again on the car- just don't forget to pay homage to poseidon as your car prepares for its maiden sea voyage.

Now going through Miraflores. So weird to be looking at the ship carrying my car so very far away. I wish I had x-ray vision or was in Panama dining on the terrace cafe above the locks. However, I'd get in big trouble trying to jump aboard the ship and stow away.

Hey swamp congrats. How do you track west coast bound ships? A few of us are on the MV Grus, but we suck and can't track it. Any tips?

Some lines provide a lot more detail than others. I think some folks have access to some paid tools as well for tracking. Have a look here and here (Hojin specific but you may learn something). I just poach other folks results for the most part. I did get the MF locks pics from the original source myself though at pancanal.com.
