At first I got upset about it, but at this point I'm over thinking about it. It's the characteristic of the supple leather.
If you want the seat to look new at 20,000 miles, you gotta get the leather in the normal 3 series.

I actually agree with this advice: you need to eat some because there must be no cushion under your bones!!

I don't want to imagine the smell of a speedcloth seat after cutting 5 years worth of farts on it

I have a lil over 400kms on mine and just got my car on Sept. 26th. I have the same problem...and had people in the back once! And the rear seats now are no longer smooth. You can tell they been sat in now. I weigh close to 160lbs...but was wondering if the interior protectant that the dealership offers prevents all the stretching and what not.

Mine has 2800 miles. No creases and no de-coloration.... I use dark jeans all the time and is a fox red.
As I already said in one post (and nobody listened to me)... You need to condition your leather very often. I do it every week. |

From past posts I've read over at Bimmerfest from the leather gurus, you should only be conditioning every few months at the most. Some recommend twice a year. |

Every 2 weeks, you can wipe it with a damp (damp = water) cloth (or vacuum it) to pick up small abrasive particles. This will prevent it from becoming shiny over time. But be wary of the chemicals. Any leather conditioner made especially for full-grain leathers is fine on Novillo leather.

Whatever wrinkles or folds i get in my leather will eventually "lift" out on their own. I clean my car's seats often with leather conditioner(i used to use Meguiars, recently switched to Gliptone) and they look new still after 3200 miles. If I get out of the car after a long drive, the leather looks a bit wrinkled like you show in your pic, but if I smooth out the leather or just wait a day it'll be back to normal.
I highly recommend using a leather cleaner/conditioner.
