Balckberry Curve 8830 with Smartphone Integration???

I searched and did not find any clear answers.
I have an 09 M3 coupe with Smartphone Integration & Ipod/USB.. Is there an adapter available for the Blackberrys yet?

Yes. I just installed the snap-in adapter for my blackberry curve last night. Works a treat. Part: 84 21 0 445 596.

roof - I'm assuming this same part works for 8330 as well. Any pics, or can you describe how/where this goes? I'm a little behind on the phone adapter discussions obviously, but would love an easy spot for charging.

I think the 8330 and the curve are one in the same. If you have the 6NF smartphone integration option, the adapter snaps in to the existing baseplate(?) in the center console. I popped out the blank that was there and popped in the adapter--it took 2 seconds. Lot's of pictures here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=6nf&page=2.

It's great because my battery seems to run out quickly with bluetooth on, I don't want a charger always plugged into my ashtray, and my phone charger won't fit into the center console.

I got it from Circle BMW. They were helpful, but thought I needed a baseplate and frame (for another $180), but with the smartphone integration option you don't.

If you don't have 6NF you may be able to retrofit it, but I don't know how.

Got 6FL, but no 6NF on mine, so no joy unless it can be retrofitted.

Thanks, from that list it still appears that the iphone is the only one that works with the smartphone integration still.

exactly.

all 6NF enables is bluetooth Audio from the phone over the regular Bluetooth phone features. I wouldn't call it smart phone integration.

Neil.

It doesn't even really do that. On my blackberry it just provides power...and I guess hooks the phone up to an integrated antenna in the car...though I don't know if I believe that.

I'm guessing the iphone (itouch?) will be the only phone that ever has true integration...since iDrive is configured to work with ipods.
