Money is no object and I have no intention of buying either.

But seriously I often ask this question.

If you had a choice of any car what would you replace your present car with?

The stipulation is that you will use the car in exactly the same manner you use your present car, In other words if you are using your BMW to take the kids to school and go to Costco you can't say you would replace it with a Porsche GT3. If you only have one car now you will still only have one car so a certain amount of practicality will be a concern.

A friend of mine has an M3 GTS and it has been very unreliable.
I'll see him Saturday and get the full story.

Good answer

If money is not object why the hell not! If you get 5 or 6 chances are at least one of them will be operational at any given time and it is one hell of a track car.

I have no interest in a larger car at any price. Between the M3 and M5 I'd stay with the M3 without hesitation.

Probably the C63 AMG Coupe. Then a CTS-V, Then a Z06.

My choice would be the Maserati GT convertible. Ms. Audio wants an Aston Martin Rapide.

You should get it for her. I saw one in VA and it looked stunning. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Maserati front end.

There was an Aston Martin (not a Rapide) parked in front of my building last night. I stood by it for about 20 minutes and watched about 50 people walk by it. Nobody even noticed it. New York City is a strange place in many ways.

P.S. Ms. Audio has a very good track record of getting what she wants.

Ferrari 512BB
Porsche 959
Porsche 928 S4
Audi RS-4 ( the station wagon version, in blue)
Audi R8 (v8 version)
Ferrari F40

You're in Manhattan. Astons don't catch people's eyes. They're also getting a bit boring. Mrs. Audio will love her new Rapide, though. Tell her to also consider the Panamera Turbo S.

She can't get past the style of the Panamera.
She is very happy with her XKR but is ready for a change.
We test drove an XKR-S a few weeks ago and we both liked it a lot but the XK is obviously at the end of its run.

Yeah, the XK is due for a change. You really can't go wrong with the Aston, though.

M5 cuz if I really wanted a balls out sports car (that I can afford), I'd get an Exige S260. The M5 will probably be just as fast (if not faster) than my M3 around most tracks and it's more utilitarian and more comfortable - all the reasons why I got an M3 sedan over an Exige since I can only afford 1 nice car.

"If money were no object"?

Loaded question!!!!

Like others have stated, if money were no object I wouldn't be driving a BMW.

Okay...I'll bite....just for fun.

First, let's rule out superexotics like Bugatti, Koenigsegg, etc.

Here's what I would own:

1. Toyota Tundra crew-cab (fully loaded, of course): my hauler/beater

2. Rolls Royce Ghost: my luxury car

3. Porsche Cayenne Turbo: my SUV

4. Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster: my convertible

5. Porsche GT3 RS: my track/pure sports car
