Get some more rubber under that car, and your 60-130 time will improve.

275's ain't gonna cut it anymore with 600Hp.

BTW: I saw a vid of a G-power kit car vs. a turbo Civic posted this morning...

Have you seen this clip on Youtube?

Wow very unexpected~ but that M3 got embarrassed.

The Civic has a built motor with a big turbo making 15psi, and it doesn't weigh anything. It probably makes 400 - 500hp to the wheels in a 2300lb package.

As for that race with the civic it's not embarrassing , a civic with 400+whp will pretty much eat anything out there , the thing also weighs around 2,500 pounds ...

I would like to put my gti up agaisnt that thing , more of a fare race
520 whp 29 psi of boost 6mt 2950 pnds....

I tend to think the DCT has about a 0.75 second advantage over the 6MT. If that's true, then this would be roughly equivalent to an 8.25 second 60-130 from a DCT.

BTW, I have the Video VBox.
Give me that video Vbox dammit

I actually think the DCT have about 1 sec advantage when you hit speeds of 130mph. I think I read it somewhere on the forum before there was a DCT and 6MT comparison. and I remember it was 1sec slower for the 6MT

DCT will lose around 0.3 km/hr during a shift around 130mph, vs 3 km/hr in manual, assuming a shift time of 30ms and 300ms respectively...

0.3 secs doesn't seem to be a difference. I am actually quite surprised the difference is so little. but I found this a comparison.

OP... Great times! I'm glad to see some of the other FI's getting some 60-130 times down! As Sammy stated it is so much fun running these cars and with practice you will just get better and better. Let me tell you the difference between 9.01 and 8.95 is so fast it is just a matter of practice. We will all improve the more we go after it. The only thing is that we may need to get in on a group buy of tires! HaHa!

This means with Eugene's 9.01 second 60-130, a comparable DCT with the same kit should run somewhere near 8.0 seconds.

There is one piece of data of particular interest in this chart. Since this is based on an actual ESS VT2-575 kit dyno chart, CarTest predicts an 8.55 second 60-130 for the DCT. BigLare posted an 8.56.

PG,

So I guess this means we really have step up the shifting times and try to cut it down as low as possible.

PG

G-Power have mentioned to me before that the MDCT can go up the 330km/h but the 6MT can only do 320km/h

why is that ? cause your showing both hitting 215mph
