Exclamation What happened to my SCREEN?

I started my car today and the Red Screen of Death is all I can see.. When I put the car in reverse it goes blank and can't get anything to show. Hard Drive with music seems to work.

Any idea what happened and how I can fix?

Also I am thinking about trading in for a 650i, is there any way to copy the music as-is from my hard drive to the new car?

It happens. Turn the car off and let it sit a few minutes. The computer is rebooting. Happened on my 2011 a few times but always came back. As far as copying your music, I don't believe there is an export feature. You should talk to Mike at BPM he knows this system inside and out.

You can export music to USB.

I had the red screen of death a few months back with only 3,300 miles on the ticker.

Had to have the screen replaced and the radio reprogrammed. It was all under warranty or else it would of been $1,367.90 for the repair.

It's not the screen. That's a problem with the CIC unit itself.
