I don't know about the trucks, but I know my car is since it has BMW Assist. Maybe we should pressure BMWNA to track our cars for us in real-time the minute they arrive in the US?

Well, the car would have to be on to track it, so it would probably arrive with a dead battery!

I don't care! I'll instruct them to leave the switch on!

Reviving this thread My car is now on a transport truck. The car has been released by the dealer and is now on a 2700 mile journey.

I'm pretty sure the battery is connected and I have BMW Assist. Do you think I can call them up and ask them for the location of the car every few days? Or do they reserve this service just for thefts?

OK I called the BMW Assist hotline. The lady on the phone said they cannot track the car unless it is reported stolen. So if you are OK with reporting your car stolen, you can track it.

Anyone know if say you stop subscribing to BMW assist if the tracking feature is still usable?

I am on a truck. Somehow I was in and out of the VPC... right around 10 hours or so from what I heard. Gorgeous.
