Laguna Seca HPDE Event - Monday Feb 20th

Need something to do on your day off?
Passing on info for a President's day event at Laguna Seca.

https://www.motorsportreg.com/index....032FFD934A5D03

I'm already going to the BMW CCA event this weekend and won't be able to attend, but I've been to a few YPTD events in the past and always had a good time.
They have a great format with 7 x 20 min runs between 3 groups.
Cost is only $290 ($335 after the 14th) if you don't need an instructor.

Phillip runs a good event. Can't go wrong!

I believe Akrapovic Evolution exceeds the 92 dB sound limit. What have people been doing in the pass to be able to run this setup on Leguna Seca?

You can briefly lift off the throttle while passing the check area

Phillip does hold great events. Half day specials were just posted.

I've been to Laguna with the full Akra Evo in the past without issue.
But at one of the bmw cca events last summer/fall, i've heard that everyone with an Akra got flagged.

They know people do that and will sometimes check sound at a remote location as well. You do get sound check laps so use them to make necessary adjustments.

After asking what the db level was in another thread, not getting an answer and all the way up to the start, I was worried about this too...until a built Vette, a vocal 996, and an e36 "podium car" first ran with the A group. Those cars had to be AT LEAST 5x louder than my Akra Evo at WOT. They were also fitted with "garage-fabbed" baffle 90's on the exhaust tips that were purposefully angled to the driver's side- away from the sound girl.

You can see most of the cars that were at the event HERE.

Absolutely no need to lift near turn 6 with the Akra...unless you're coming in too hot at turn-in.
