Weird Issue... Increased Emission on semi-cold startup (after lux4 install)
Hey guys,
Wanted to check in here to see if anyone seen this issue before. I haven't driven the car for 3 weeks since I was out of town. Today, I went down into the city to look for a friend and do the LUX 4 Angel Eye install. We installed them on three cars and I experience something different. I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with the LUX, but I want to include it to the post because it was done today. Anyways, after installing everything and putting things back into place. We drove off for a few mins to do some errands. Came back and parked the car for about 1 hr. Went for dinner... As soon as I started the car, within a few second, increased emission light came on. Never seen this before. The car seem to be semi cold on the start since we drove an hr ago. I doubt it's the LUX causing the error. Mods: -Lux 4 -Rear section IPE Valvetronic (oem midpipe and oem xpipe) Gas shown at first marker... Battery was low since I didn't drive for 3 weeks. Also, about a month ago, I had the new 240e software put in by the dealer during service. Anything sound familiar to anyone? What's the best way to check the code (i'm out of warranty)? I was thinking about buying one of these bluetooth code readers on amazon, which cable and which software (able to read and clear codes) to get on android phone? I had increased emissions when my battery was on its last legs and had trouble holding a charge...it would come and then clear itself after driving a little bit then come back again if the battery died completely.
Dealer ended up replacing an o2 sensor under warranty when they replaced the battery, not sure if it was entirely necessary but it was free so I didn't argue. |

Doubht its the LUX since essentially its just a bulb replacement. You could always put the stock bulbs back in to prove that out.
