help - sound clip of issue

when i drive my car it will make this random pump sound like its trying to put air .. does go. away but does come back on at random.... its pretty loud and you can hear it from outside as well if door is closed.... sounds like its coming from front passenger side but i dont know if this is below the wheel or like from the engine bay... please help! |

Bake vacuum pump. If you're hearing it activate a lot, your brake vacuum sensor is about to fail. You should be getting errors and limp mode soon. Did you change brake fluids recently?
The good news is that you can get just the sensor. It's the same part number as a Z4 MAP sensor and cheap. |

Thanks. I only replaced pads n rotors. Is there a video or link how replace this sensor?
I ordered the part based what others said on thread from searching. I did get cel half yellow. It didn't do I not limb mode but I drove it back home fine n have kept it off. Hoping this fix will do the trick. Thanks for confirmation. Sounds like the issue from more research though. |
