Yes, and we have seen customers with VT1-535 kits dynoing 500+whp on some dynos. This is however not the norm, and should not be expected.

And more often, people with an interest in getting their cars tuned will be getting the enthusiast oriented models. (ie. ///M, 135i, 335i(s), Z4 35i(s), etc.)
I know both the head of marketing and engineering there. I can ask them, but I'm sure they will tell me what I told you. It would cost roughly 200k to develop. I asked them before about a Lotus, and it just wasn't worth their time to develop a product.

Hmm... $200K seems very high considering that they now know how to code BMW ECUs. So they simply need to solve the tuner lock issue, which they may have solved on the 335 and then just get few good tunes.

I can not imagine that a single tune would be more than 40 hour of labor... so at $300/ hour that is 12K.

I would recommend that they consider it. I really would like an option of going to stock if I needed to, and multiple maps as well the ability to sell the flash once I am done with the car.

Maybe we should simply organize an unofficial group buy, or not to break rules - interested list.

So, COBB flash with all their standard features with ability to flash stock, stage 1, stage 2 (catless) and 100 octane race program for $995. List starts here:

+1, If they announce even intent that they will work on it in the future, I will buy 100%. (Unless I have given in and gone ESS VT1 or Dinan by that point.)

In terms of tunes, I would think:

1) Stg 1
2) HFC
3) Catless
Options for: 91/93/100 octane, increased flow intake would be nice as well.

The Nissan GT-R pricing is:

Standard: $995.00
w/TCM: $1495.00 (That's transmission software, I believe.)

If they follow similar pricing for M3, I'm sold for sure. (Wasn't the GT-R ECU once proclaimed 'uncrackable' or at least 'extremely difficult' as well?)

Anyway, add me to the list:

If we can get enough people, I'll pitch it to the Director of Marketing there who can pitch it to Trey (owner of the company)

I had one of these for my 03 Cobra, and it was a Godsend (Predator Tuner)...great tool for tuning as well as reading codes. I am actually suprised there is nothing out there for the M3's...but on the flipside, I could see some folks seriously screwing up their motors with these things.

I would love to see the AP from COBB for the E9x.

Does anyone else currently offer something similar?
