Lightbulb Alaskan Cruise Suggestions - 7 Night

Hey guys I will be going to AK on a cruise from Sept 14 through the 21st. I have only one thing planned out so far in Juneau, I wanted to try out that Mt. Roberts Tramway. Do you guys have any ideas?

Excursions definitely dont have to be through the cruise ship. The only thing the wife doesnt want to do is get in the water or on a helicopter, other then that we are game for whatever. Any ideas would be great! Heres what the cruise looks like

Seattle
At Sea
Ketchikan
Juneau
Skagway
At Sea
Victoria, BC, Canada
Final Port to leave Vancouver, Canada

I've heard the White Pass railway at Skagway is good (never been myself), but its narrow guage I believe, lots of elevation, great views, etc.

Which cruise are you going on?

My cruise to Alaska with a suite is one of the best vacation of my life. Seeing the glacier on your balcony is impressive.

Going on NCL, never been on this cruise line so I am a bit nervous. ALl the ports are listed above minus inbetween we will go to Sawyer Glacier on the ship. Hopefully I can sneak alcohol on too, so far I have been 5/5 haha

I just got back from AK. Unfortunately, I was on this ship:
http://www.usatoday.com/story/travel...pairs/2680185/

We did a land tour through Fairbanks, Denali, Anchorage, and glass top train to Seward. Once we got on the ship, we were stuck in Seward for 3 days. We made the best of it by hiking the fjords and seeing a glacier/icefield up close. We then cruised straight to Vancouver non-stop, skipping ports of call.
We did get a full refund and 100% of paid value towards another cruise. So the compensation was there.

I would avoid the gold panning and other cheesy tours. GO HIKING. The AK wilderness and glacier hikes were amazing. Tour Denali.

Wow, awesome shots. I had gone a few years back with Holland America and had a blast. I suggest you find some big game fishing whether it be through the ship or off shore, it was a blast. Other than that just did a lot of roaming the land since I didn't have much expendable cash at the time.

Have fun, you will enjoy it, the views are breathtaking.

I went on a Disney cruise. The excursions were booked thru the cruise line.

Dog mushing in Skagway. Pretty messy but fun. Got to ride in a Unamog to the dog camps, pretty cool.

Gold panning in Juneau. Got some real gold flakes (smaller than a grain of salt). Both interesting experience IMO.

That's awesome!!! Jewel is essentially the sister ship to the gem (they seem very similar). It was an awesome time. The rooms are amazing, service is top notch. Food is great. There will always be something different for you to do. I don't know if it's offered but we got an all you can drink package for $49/day + 15% gratuity. Def worked out in our favor. I've learned all of the in's and out's of the system so if you have a question, lmk.

Have an awesome time, my next trip will be to alaska. Hopefully on a cruise.

I will probably just sneak a water bottle on in my luggage, its worked out in the past. Then at ports I will bring more on if need be. Good to know about NCL I was a bit nervous!

Shitty thing happened, I dont think I will be making it back to Seattle from Van BC to make my flight. (Driving from BC to Seattle and I dont know how the boarder will be, ship docks at 8am my flight is at 1:10pm) Alaskian Airlines are being bitches and its going to be over $300 a person to get a different flights.
