Maintenance Plan voided (brake service) due to wheels and springs?

So I've had my CPO for over a year now (hit 20k miles - yes that's a lot of driving) and noticed that when i'm driving and apply the brakes, the steering wheel shakes. I'm pretty sure that my brakes need to get serviced but kinda weary because I do have aftermarket rims and springs.

I purchased the maintenance plan as part of the total purchase knowing that the brake service would pay for itself eventually. But, do you think the dealer would give me shit because I have rims and springs?

I realize every dealer is different, but wondering if anybody else went through this as well.

Thanks.

I don't think rims and/or springs will cause undue concern from the dealer. Sounds like you've got some brake judder caused by deposits on the rotors.

No kidding, that differs in Canada, wtf? Warped rotors should be covered. I had mine changed on my '08 twice over, no questions.

depends on the relationship you have with your dealer.

Only an upgraded service plan will cover rotors and pads. I think BMW wanted ~$1700 for 4 years. Worth it if you know you will stick to OEM setup. Most guys upgrade brakes before they are worn out.

WTF really? I got mine replaced before the maintenance ran out because they wanted to make sure it got done
