Still turns heads!!!......

So it is winter here in New England. Haven't been driving the M3 as much. We had some salt down on the roads a short while ago, and while there is no snow on the ground where I am, the tires aren't good in cold weather.

Anyway, yesterday was a little warmer and the weather was clear so I had the M3 out. I am still amazed at the attention the car gets.

I had one guy in an Audi A6 pull next to me at a light, roll down his window, and gave me all sorts of compliments, thumbs up, etc. etc.

Then, a guy in a 3-series coupe almost came to a dead stop in the middle of an intersection while turning as he just stared at my car. Honestly could have caused a serious accident. You would've thought my M3 was a naked woman or something !!

Just wanted to share.

Nice. The M isn't (to me) a fabulously beautiful car, more low and muscular. But I've received way more compliments about it than any car I've owned, usually when the top's down. The people have spoken

Cheers

I was getting a late-night breakfast taco last Sunday morning, when in the drive-through lane behind me, a young female driver shouted "I love your car and license plate. Can I take a picture?" She was driving a large white SUV... Ford Excursion or something like that.

The top was down on the E93, so I turned around and said, "sure, okay, haha."

She got out, and two of her other young female friends got out. They got by the rear bumper of my and started snapping photos of each other.

It was a hoot.

I remember once out there buying coffee/tea on a snowy day and overheard people talking about how crazy the M3 driver dare to bring his/her car out on a day like that. Well, that was my car on a good set of winters That sure turned quite a bit of heads and even until now, I'd stare at any M3(s) passing by. I miss the car

Tons of bimmers up here too, but by far mostly 6 cylinder variants. Any 8 cylinder becomes much more rare, be it a 3, 5, 7, X. The thing about the M3, I think, is that it is familiar, and yet different enough even for the automotively uneducated. You cant help notice the wider tires, quad exhaust tips, big-ass front air dam, and hood bulge.

haha in socal ive seen alot of regular 3 series that do a m3 conversion... the hood, front bumper, and sides, but not the side fenders...

In San Diego I get attention all the time. M3s are more rare here than in LA. Guess it helps that the RPI GTc is loud as hell so people hear me then stare.

I've had traffic police directing traffic come up to me in traffic and ask how I got my halos to match the HIDs People notice the smallest details actually, it surprises me.
