Exhaust combo question

Has anybody done a full exhaust system ending with an Eisenmann Sport? I'm thinking of eliminating secondary cats, possibly changing primary to a high flow cat (if it really flows better) and adding a X-pipe to my Eisenmann Sport. Now the Eisenmann is offering their connecting pipes it should make this an easy installation. I'm curious if anyone's done this and how it sounds? Does anyone offer an X-pipe that's not $2k? The AA one looks really sweet, but I don't know if I can bring myself to spending $2k on a X-pipe that price is simply ridiculous.

im in the same boat as you...i have an eisenmann sport ordered and want to combine it with an xpipe but the AA is pretty expensive with the high flow cats at $3K+. I'm thinking about getting the SS xpipe.

I'm also waiting to hear an Eisenmann Sport with an X-pipe. I personally think that setup will sound the best. I don't recommend buying the SS x-pipe there is too much modification needed to fit the x-pipe to the OEM exhaust.

Actually I did my X-pipe and it was not too much modification if your exhaust shop is a competant one. I am on the X-pipe with ACS Race mufflers and they are really loud. Good thing is when you are cruising its quiet and when u WOT, it really screams and wails. Of course, by all means, settle for the AA since its easier!

Cheers!

Yea, I like that the AA setup along with the Eisenmann connecting pipes would be a simple bolt on mod. That would save me a lot of $ since I'd do the work myself. But how much would this cost me? Already dropped almost $3k on a muffler, now it would be connecting pipes, x-pipe, high flow cats. I'm guessing it would be somewhere around a $7k exhaust system? Is there any cheaper solution? My main concern would be the great sound, more than the hp gain which would probably be minimal at best.

You can have a local exhaust shop create an x-pipe for you. It'll probably be cheaper and since it's clamped on, they don't have to do flanges and stuff. Magnaflow makes x-pipes and HFCs that you can use as the basis for your x-pipe.

I am planning to get the SS X-pipe to install on my Remus Race. I spoke to elmariachi about this, I'm sure small mods have to be done but that beats spending 2000 on AA x-pipes compared to 600 on supersprint x-pipes. plus SS is a very reputable European company - comparable if not even more development than AA.

Are you sure that super sprint's x-pipe is only $600? Post link or ban.

Yes -- If you actually did some google searching, you'll find it yourself.

All vendors carry this pipe for around the same price.

I got a quote from an exhaust shop they will delete the cats (replace with piping) and add a Stainless X pipe for about 150-200 bucks... and Bam! you have the exact same thing as an AA x pipe!

I see, it's a much shorter pipe than the one AA sells, which runs from the headers back.
