If you don't want to post a price put it on eBay. This isn't an auction site.

Firstly; Using eBay as a reference point isn't exactly a credible source of information. Who knows what the car went through, how hard it was driven, if it is even running in 100% condition (running at all?), there could be 101 problem with the eBay listings. My engine can be seen for inspection before removal, as well as the DCT.

Secondly; Do you have links? References? True data to support your theory that the S85 can support a DCT? The DCT was released after the S85 as you well know and the two-cylinder difference can have all the difference in the world for it not being able to handle the DCT.

Lastly; Again if you have supporting evidence to your last statement of the 6 speed being known to bolt right up to the S85 please share that with me as I would rather have a 6 speed than the SMG (that is of course if I cannot have a DCT altogether).

You're not going to ge the DCT to work with an S85 and the ECU isn't able to run the DCT. The S85 had a 6 speed option, so yes an S85 can bolt up to a 6 speed.

Sorry but if you're going to be butt-hurt that I haven't posted a price then please refrain yourself from posting useless comments on my FS thread. If you have the $$ and would like to purchase it then PM me and make an offer. I know what it is worth and I feel that by posting a price, people like you will shit on it and say eBay sells them for 8k blah blah blah. So again, if you have nothing but useless comments to post please stop.

Thank you.

I can't read your mind and the motor is worth somebody will pay for it. What's the big deal about posting a price? I'm guessing you think it is worth at least $15k and at that price you'll be keeping it.

Oh, and you never know who might buy what you are selling, you should be more nice in your posts or people won't take you serious. Peace out....I'll find another s65 to buy.

The s85 and DCT combo will not work. Additionally that s85 is going to take a hell of alot of modification to drop on an e9x chassis..

Im with others..if you are going to undertake this find a light body car..maxmize the power to weight ratio..that would be one fast ride.

Okay I'm on my phone and not gonna type a novel but
The guy who put the v10 in an e46 already found out that the s65 6 speed will bolt right up to the s85. For the guys saying this wont fit; have you looked at a s65 versus s85 they're essentially the same and yes there is enough room to fit in the e9x chassis.

To the OP my figures from eBay are accurate and the engines found are from running cars under 40k. Most places will warranty for 30 days if you can't hear it run firsthand. And it's not my job to post the links, do a search there are used engines avail. I'm just trying to give potential buyers and yourself a reference as you are trying to sell something, no? This isn't a bidding forum. You should list a price. Good luck. Sounds like a very big project of your already doubting others info!

Where are the mods? Again list a price or what you're looking to get as you can always negotiate but again you're gonna turn people away with the PM offers thing. Not ebay, m3post
