Classic GM really did not want anyone driving it and they said they are going to be selective on who drives it. If you are not buying one you arent driving it. if you are I am sure you can drive it. let me see if I can load my pics onto here for ya.
I hope to drive it today or soon. I have a deposit down there so hopefully that is good enough.

Just drove the coupe at Classic. Awesome. Yes, they are very selective--no buying--no driving. The GM/other manager is approving all test drives.

I just dropped by this morning and changed my order to the Enhanced Premium Sound.

They are doing test drives but only for buyers like everyone has said.

So, I guess I missed this. There is no spare tire... Just a tire repair kit.

Spare tires add weight ;p. This is just like the E46.

They also protect you, for those unexpected times when your tire goes flat.

I drove it as well. Just got back - amazing car. The steering feels great even in non-sport mode. I don't know where the concern comes from. MR is pretty but too dark for me. I will be getting AW. The engine sounds amazing although I couldn't extend it past the middle of the tach. It's an amazing car. Incredibly refined even in EDC sport mode, although the roads in and around there are pretty smooth. I really liked it - put my mind at ease. I'm going back to drive it again when it reaches the break-in mileage.

Oh wow, I guess seeing Boschy's post eclipsed this thread to me. haha

Very nice stuff. I saw those cars in person as well and they were stunning. I couldn't be more jealous at Boschy for being allowed to DRIVE ONE!!!!!!!!

My deposit is down at Moritz right now and they dont seem to have any in. :/

moritz is horrible, go to abahn. its not that far.
I have had some serious issues that abahn took care of without a blink, I highly recomend them let me know I will tell you who to talk to.
They are good to their employees too, first 5 allocations went to employees. I think that says a lot, bad for us but I think its great for them to do that, even if I got to wait longer.

I read that post you're talking about originally but I guess it didn't register in my head about you driving it. What can I say...it's been a long week. And like I've said, I've seen it in person upclose & the sedan still looks like blah to me. It's so mcnasty due to the rear-end but that's just my humble opinion.

Anyway, I went in this afternoon to pick something up from the parts dept (also to add the iPod/usb option) & w/o even asking for a test drive my salesguy ask if I wanted to go for one (completely opposite response from yesterday). It's pretty much what I expected & the handling was notiecably different than the RS4 I test drove since the M3 is not nose heavy like the RS4. The M3 felt smaller than it actually is. Is it me or is the steering wheel physically smaller than the e46 M3 version?

The whole time I was there, there were peeps swarming it. The salesguy said its been like that the whole day especially w/kids in Integra's & what not asking for a test drive. When we got back from the test drive, we got out & this guy was about to reach for the door handle...but the salesguy locked it literally a second before that guy pulled it, hahahahahaha!

BTW, I don't know if it's the same reason for the e92 M3 but for the e46 M3 the main reason why there wasn't a spare tire was b/c the muffler was too big thus it took up space where the spare tire usually was.

BMW DALLAS Test drove new M3 4 door & M3 Coupe

The sales guy let me drive them but only to 5500 RPM. We pushed the cars hard. I thoght the RPM seamed high in 6 gear at 80 MPH on the highway. The 19 inch wheels looked great, $1900 upgraded radio was ok need to listen to base before I spend the extra cash.

I liked the 4 door better, felt like a smaller M5 for a lot less $$$$$$

engine sounds great

I am waiting to drive the new auto If I like I will buy a new 4 door for my D-D.
