USA BEWARE!!!! (lots of specs to look at though)

Considering the M3 is such a difficult car to get hold of, on our main car sales site in the UK, there are around 60 already up for sale - totally unheard of on the launch of the e46.

Also quite a few at under list already - highly disappointing (unless you want to buy one in a year or so!)

Here's the link (then sort in price high to low) - lots of specs to browse.

Dont see any below list?? Just looks like people trying to cash in on waiting lists. Virtually all dealers of one description or another too. Obviously they ordered their cars way back in order to get them in stock so they could cash in. No surprise there.

Nothing to be 'beware' of. Saw tons of RS4s for sale like this when that was released. Happens to most desirable cars in the middle market.

Yeah hi - but i've never really been away. Went for a drive in an M3 last week - really really good car - felt a little quicker than my RS4 too. Like the look of the sedan also - toooooo many choices :@)

When the E46 came out there was no way to buy one below list for almost a year. Re-read the link, a few say below list in their adverts. Still I think it probably applies to virtually all new cars - just that the days of running an M3 for 12 month depreciate free are over - all good things....i guess!

What's a valid UK postcode for the other side of the pond people to use to search?

Yup, re read it, one or two are around list or maybe slightly less but they are second hand private sales. The rest are on or above list and are generally dealers. I would expect to pay less for a used car, wouldnt you?

Why anyone would expect to buy any car and not lose money on it Ill never know, I mean, you can get a 12 month old RS4 for £43K (same source) and they are supposed to hold their value well.

Cars and women for spending money, business and property for making money. Simple.

If I can drive mine for six months and only lose £5k I'll be quite happy... I'm not surprised there are a few for sale. You always get people speculating on cars like these, but I don't think it will drop hugely in the first 12 months. People will just be more picky over spec on second hand cars.

Seeing as how there are a number of members on this site in the UK, it may have a point for them, either as owners or potential purchasers.

I will concede the thread title should be "Speculators Beware", rather than USA BEWARE
