PM me with price?

And if that's the stance you take, both shops will work themselves out on who's really at fault, lol. I know I would if that was my industry.

It could be worse.

I was dropping off my e90 for brake fluid service under warranty at BMW of Mountain View. As I tried to enter the driveway a tow truck driver was parked in the driveway at such an angle that he was blocking both lanes.

Aside from him taking nearly an hour trying to figure out how to drop off the customer's M3, that angle pretty obviously put the rear wheels of the car coming off the flat bed onto an incline. He just couldn't figure out why the front bumper kept scraping on the lowered car.

Eventually he just decided to brute force it and pushed the car off, doing some pretty serious damage. It appeared to not only cause visible scuffing that I could see from 30 feet away, but it appeared to at least partially detach the bumper from the car.

If you had an earlier (possibly 2000'ish) M3 dropped off at Mountain View on a flat bed on 6/28 and need a witness, let me know. I made a point to mention it to my service advisor and a couple other employees. It was disturbing all the way around. Also, be advised that this in no way had anything to do with Mountain View. They were pretty shocked about the issue as well-I'm just not sure if the owner was informed about the entire series of events.

wow. that would make me go postal as well.

I would let your friend know about the issue, and let him deal with it first. That failing, then you can complain yourself. Not sure how close this friend is but you should always play it diplomatically, you win more flies with honey than with vinegar.

...unless it's the types of flies that like salt n' vinegar chips...mmm, snack time!
