So true. I talked to Alin at Eurotekk. He seems knowledgable and is willing to do pretty much any kind of modification and even rod bearings if you need too. He's also dinan authorized and could hook you up with a stroker haha.

Ah yes. The Dinan stroker.....

Too bad it's gonna run you $43,000

I cringed when I inquired about this. Going from FI back to stock I looked into this option. Unfortunately, I cannot justify the cost. There was a Black Stroker for sale in Edmonton last summer. Wish I had gone and seen it.

I can see why so many go FI. More HP for less.

The appeal for me was definitely keeping it NA.....but I can't stomach the cost.

43k!

Agreed that's way too much. Fbo NA would prob be close performance wise anyways.

If that black stroker for sale came from Calgary, it was a car that sorely tempted me the first and second time that it came in on trade at Calgary BMW. I got to drive it a couple of times - what a huge difference in the low end torque...

And most memorably, driving it back to the store one morning after an unexpected very minor snowfall - "don't lift, don't lift, don't lift" all the way down the Deerfoot on greasy roads, lol.

The car had HRE's on it at the time:

Not sure to be fair. I do think however the car was located near Sherwood Park. I think the car I saw was stock with the 220 wheels

Anyone else put on their summer tires yet? Was out and about yesterday in Calgary and Edmonton and saw at least 4-5 M3's. Mostly white and one black. Anyone from here? You would have recognized me as driving this...

My summers stayed on

I am ordering a new set though. I am running Toyo Proxies at the moment and they are due for an upgrade. Rears a getting a little thin. Order going in this week for a set of PSS.

I am so close to having mine on the road though. Engine is out together. Front end is back on. Tires on. Haven't started it since the upgrade though....

Working on it. Unfortunately had a little mishap and I need to replace a fitting on the cooling system.

Its killing me!

Mods are so close to being complete. Next comes the LCI and the detailing.

PSS are by the best tires I have had for these cars. Had them on my C63 as well and while they aren't the best for longevity, they are best for performance imo.

Did you supercharge yours?

His MR E90 M3 has been supercharged twice now, once with an AA kit last year and then again this year with an ESS kit. He didn't like the Blow off valve sound with the AA kit.

This one is much less obnoxious....although he did add test pipes

Wow...that's just bad ass. lol.

I personally would actually like the BOV noise. Always wanted a car that did that since I was a kid. But I guess perhaps in a car like this it doesn't really add much of a plus factor.

IMHO it made it sound more like something that rhymes like Fonda. I think that Tim agrees with me on that one. The Sound of the V8 alone is music to our ears. Anything that muffles that sound such as the BOV is less than ideal in my mind.

Alas, this may solve his need for more power want. But only time will tell

The sound seems to be much better which is a start!

Transplant complete. No more fluids coming out Just a weird, intermittent clacking that we are trying to isolate. Have not been able to find anything similar on the forum in the search engine. Car runs great though.

PSS tires are on now. Very happy so far.

Car will be in at Doug's Place at the end of the month to complete the LCI update.

Mode Carbon bits are on their way soon.

Saw a beautiful Orange E92 M3 (Lime Rock?) driving downtown around 7pm. The setting sun sun really brought out the colour. Gave him 3 fingers. Yeah... He saw me...

Now that my M3 is sold, I have a few items that I'd prefer to sell locally rather than ship.

- set of Dinan front camber plates for e9x (M3 or any other 3er for that matter)

- complete set of ECS Tuning front and rear brakes for service (two-piece rotors, pads, pad sensors, and braided stainless-steel brake lines)

Let me know.

That's me man! Good to see you in person. Your car looks amazing! The Dinan exhaust sounds bad ass! Is that only the rear exhaust or you have the full system on it?
