Audible Chirp Without Purchasing Anti Theft Option

Hello i just put through my order for the 2011 m3 convertible
i chose not to get the anti theft device at the time thinking it was a waste of money since my 650 had it and it never went off once

am i not gonna have the chirp when locking and unlocking my car?

And is it possible to add this option after an order was already placed

You will not have audible confirmation, but can get flashing lights when locked/unlocked.

Does it not affect your insurance having an M3 without an alarm?

Not in the US. Alarm / LoJack will only discount your premium, not increase it for not having one installed.

I guess my point is that my insurance will only offer alarm discount or vehicle tracking discount, not both. Since many M3s come with Assist, they get the insurance discount even without alarm.
