Probably going w/ a compromised camber setup (-2.5/1.9ish). Trying to figure toe--maybe 1/16 total out fr & 1/16 total in rr. Going to run a square 18x10" +27 Rays G2 wheel setup (265 R-S3s I got from a buddy in nearly-new shape to start with) & ultimately 275s. BBK also going on--all in time for first DE w/ car in 2 weeks up @ Roebling. Hoping for low :20s without working too hard on the streeties. I'd be tickled w/ upper teens--but want to keep it on the track lol Thx for all the input, gents... George B.

I've been running Vorshlag camber plates with OEM dampers and recently upgraded to MCS singles.
With both set ups, I use OEM camber and toe for the street, then adjust to maximum camber (around -3) for the track. Toe out increases slightly with the track setting which is good for turn in. This takes about two minutes per side as I slap on the ARC-8s with squared NT-01s. I would do this with or without after-market dampers. My first track days on the MCS setup is this weekend - doing the no-rain dance. |

Has anyone put the E9x on a rack and measured the change in toe with camber? Since the tie rods are in front of the axle centerline, toe will go out with increasing negative camber (which is a good thing). On my daughter's E46 with GC coilovers/plates, when we put the camber at a street level (-1.5), and set the toe exactly in the middle of the BMW spec (with the car loaded per spec and full tank of fuel), we then measured the toe after moving to -3.0 camber. I don't recall the exact values as she has the spec sheets, but it was just slightly toed out at that point -- just about perfect for events. We carefully marked the two points on the camber plates, and it's been moved back and forth for many events over the past 2.5 years with excellent results.

I go from -1.6 to -2.9. I have to adjust the tie rods 1/2 of a full revolution on each side to bring the toe back in. Hope that data point helps

+1, too much toe increases tire wear.

Which is one reason why Vorshlag has been the superior camber plate.
