I did the same.... Went with 20's. 3 pc lightweight forged wheels. Top nothc 360's. U can deff feel the difference with 20's. Even if they r light, that extra inch in diameter makes a big difference, so i went back down to 19's. Car feels much more planted with 19's.

I say if you take the M3 to the track get 18's or 19's. If your car is a cruiser, 20's seem to look a little better. I have 20's currently, but I do not track my car at all. It is my daily driver.

+1.
I have OEM 19s for the track, and strangely, also have OEM 18s....... The M3 has three sets of wheels/tires The M Roadster has three sets of wheels/tires The X5 has two sets of wheels/tires. I even have a set of wheels/tires for the X6 that hasn't been officially ORDERED yet...... I need help.......

Beyond looks, which are subjective, I can't think of ANY reason why anyone would consider 20" wheels. There isn't a single functional improvement to be gained, but many ride/handling qualities to be lost.
Stick with 19. |

Looks is a MAJOR part of cars. My 20s weigh less than stock 19s. I notice no difference in handle whatsoever. But then again Im not a race car driver.

I will have to agree with you on the comfort. I had 18s, 19s and 20s but I have noticed the most difference between 18s to 19s which you feel the difference right away. From 19s to 20s I had to go over a few bumps on purpose to see the comfort level but there is a slight difference.

Some people care about these things when making a multiple-thousand dollar decision while others do not. I fall into the group who does care about weight, strength, form, and function rather than form alone. That being said - I do think that most 20s LOOK better on this car. |

For me, performance always trumps looks, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten a performance car in the first place. I don't get why one would buy a performance car only to degrade it.

With the driving that most of us do 99% of the time, it doesn't make a difference if you have 19's or 20's. Get 20's and keep a set of stock 18's for the track. Problem solved.
