The rotors turn a goldish color every time I wash them, but once I start driving, the pads take off the residue and the color goes back to normal :

Using the brakes takes off the residue. But I agree, ZCP rims are something else ðŸ˜

They are pretty great looking when fully clean. If our car wasnt a ZCP car and had one of the other 2 set of rims on it, I'd look into new rims but with the ZCP wheels, I see no need for upgrading them. One of only a few cars I'm perfectly fine with having the OEM wheels on it.

I hand wash my ZCP wheels and when they're clean they are amazing. However cleaning the inside of the rims is a pain, lol.

Indeed. I may sell my OEM F8X 19's and buy the ZCP's.

Yup, the 359's look so right...not tempted by a set of HRE's this go around. They're a little work to clean and keep clean...kinda like Jerez. Good match.

A great looking wheel indeed, love it in the factory silver finish on a sedan. Makes it look like the car's been hittin' the gym. lol

Love the ZCPs, think the best looking wheels with this car, but still quite heavy at 26-26.6 lbs. New M3/4 19s are definitely lighter, but don't look as good. Usually good looks = weight, unless you pay top dollar.

I'm with ya. They look even better when dried

I wash mine by hand every wash (not easy, but I use a wash glove), and then apply a detailing finishing spray (hand dry) which repels brake dust. I get the inner part using a wash "stick" thingy... again kind of a pain. After all is said and done though, they are my favorite looking rim for the E92, all aftermarket rims considered. Personal preference of course

Thanks @Ludley! When it comes to wheels, every speck of dirt is removed. I wouldn't deal well with a set of wheels in which I couldn't reach the inner barrel (..BBS LM's excluded). Here's my car with full-DBK LM's and an Arkym CF front lip:
