MPSS sidewall damage - PICS Added

I everyone, quick question. I have 305/30/19 super sports and they have a pretty thick sidewall/rim protector on them. One is chunked, probably an inch and a half long, half inch deep. Is this cosmetic or will it cause problems in the long run? Doesnt leak air.
ill try to get pics up soon. Thx.

I believe the sidewalls are only one ply. Are any cords showing?

as long as you can't see cords and it isn't leaking air, I wouldn't worry about it. I would cut off that piece though so it doesn't get worse.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. Probably right about cutting it off.

Might look a little better if you glue it with a little rubber cement instead of cutting. Tire plug repair kits have cement.

Good idea. It was glued at one point but not with rubber cement. I may try to heat the part that is "loose" and see if I can mske it stick that way too.

Thanks for the thoughts.
