COMMENTS

We've been saying it for a while now, but here's finally proof of the MY2013 BMW M3 coupe (E92) and convertible (E93). Here are the official ordering and pricing guides for the 2013 M3 (download PDF below), which shows few changes.

Production of the 2013 M3 will begin in July for deliveries beginning late August - early September.

The E92 M3 coupe will be produced until mid-2013 and the E93 M3 until a few months after the coupe stops production.

The successor M3/M4 will come as a 2014 model year car and only after all E9x models cease production.

Well it appears nothing special for the 2013 models.

What is the consensus on value retention for being the end of the v8 M3?

A shame they couldn't even offer a new paint color.

Not likely to add any monetary premium. The "last classic inline 6" M3 is an E46 M3, and that doesn't bring any premium.

I'm starting to believe that BMW is extremely aware this current gen car is very, very good. Great even. This reason is why I think BMW is offering absolutely nothing in the way of a true "special edition" car because they in NO WAY want to detract from the upcoming version.
Good luck BMW, I hope this all works out and that next gen car better be damn good. Excuse me, great.

They are As we found out at the NY auto show, demand for the M3 coupe/convertible was running at 4 times the supply.

It's a great car, but a tad thirsty for gas at today's prices. If demand exceeds supply, BMW could well be limited on production numbers because of what this model does to the average for its size class, at least so far as US sales are concerned.

No doubt

Another example: no price premium for V10 E60 M5. NA + more cylinders doesn't bring a premium over just more power, performance and refinement of the replacement model.

I think if this is the last NA car that ///M will make it will make it higher down the road, but not any time soon. I hope there will be some sort of hardcore model that we get in honor of the last NA M3.

Sigh... was REALLY hoping for a special color or something. I don't care if they call it the M3 M Power M Performance M Package Edition M3 and also include a bag of M&M's - give me a special color.

I wanted an expanded color selection. None of the currently available colors really does it for me. And at $70k a car REALLY has to do it for me. Oh well, I guess BMW saved me $40k by not offering any of the UK's "special edition" colors in the US.
