e90 vs e92 is not where the difference lies. The 1:25.3 was due to the track being dry.

+ 1 Agreed, no one is arguing that...e92 may have been a tenth of a second faster but the fact remains that its faster then the lambo, look at my last post

Not to knitpick, but it was actually a E90 M3 sedan that clocked a 1:25.3 in the dry.

About time... if it can't take the thrown from a 4+ year old platform, something is wrong...

In all seriousness, it is just a matter of time until someone comes out with a car that is better than the E9x M3 and will get auto journalist concensus to support that... until the F3x M3 that is...

Thanks for posting the video Southlight. As others have indicated, the segment with Amber Heard definitely added to the pleasure.

Thanks for posting. Chalk up another win for the M! I hope someone at Audi lost their job for not engineering a more impressive car. Not just because it still cant beat the 4-year old m3 design, but that it's so damn expensive for what it is.

I love the M3 and all but honestly I think it is only a matter of time when the other name plates just make a better sports sedan. Not that BMW is doing something wrong. It's just that at some point when you have jag, ford, the usual germans, and everyone and there mom making really good cars it's just going to happen. Never in my short life have I seen such a comparable (on paper) group of autos in the industry. Hell look at the upcoming ZL1 camaro that will be around 47k. Might not fit our tastes but it's like a CTS-V but lighter and way cheaper. Some serious machinery on the road these days.

love Top Gear; kinda of remind me of Benny Hill show but without half naked women running around
I wasn't surprised that the M3 would beat RS5; just the thought the RS5 will be heavy around the corners; even though it has Quattro
