used to be the chinese delivery car, now I can sort of compare it to the civic.
I like the interior, I like the standard LED headlight, I like the mpg, that's enough to be a good daily beater.

And it's an Inline-4 and not some crappy turbo. It'll be a better drivers car for sure.

I just entered into BMW with a e92 328i (M3 wasn't an option due to insurance because I'm 18) but for my next car when my lease ends in 2016 im debating an M4 DCT or a cayman. I've got to say though, if the M4 shares the same steering as the 4 then its out of my list.

I've decided my next M car will be manual, so all I need is for it to be light, and the turbo lag to not be too nuts.

Also, I saw a 435i on the road yesterday, while it looked great it also looked very large. Kinda like a GTR

the bmws are getting pretty substantial. ie the m5 is bigger than a cadillac eldorado.

That's the biggest news of this thread! New corolla has standard led headlights?! While BMW continues to charge 4500 for LEDs....

Except for the acceleration, which will be in the same ballpark, the M4 will destroy the E92 in all performance aspects.

I wouldnt even bother comparing track times but more "feel" of ME driving both at a track. After all, our own track times matter - not no professional dtm racing drivers times at the ring. Anyone else agree?

I used to care about how "quick" my cars are on paper...but at the end of the day it's you and the car on the road/track 99.9% of the time.

I've owned "quick" cars (relatively speaking of course) that were not too fun to drive and grew out of that phase. plus you always get used to a car no matter how fast it is...so if you don't enjoy other dynamics of the car then you'll grow out of it. maybe this is why I've switched cars once per year for the last 12 years lol

though a minimum performance standard applies for me, i.e. I need a car to at least run the 1320 in the high-teens to feel any Gs when the go pedal is welded to the floor.

We all know the m4 will be superior in nearly all aspects. How it does it is another matter

Garage List
2008 BMW E92 M3  [0.00]
With it's lighter chassis and added torque, the M4 should be faster than the e92 M3 around the track. Historically, I've always love the M3s for their high revving, small displacement engines, so I don't think I would be interested in giving up mine for an M4.
