1st Time Pics AW E92

Just got my 1st SLR and figured I'd take some shots of the ride. I'm a camera noob but I think some of these came out ok. Also started fooling around with Photoshop as well. I'd really like to learn how to get those refined finished images that some of the pros get. Is it a particular lens or photoshop? Any advice would be appreciated.
