i'm not a fan of ipods and apple...but they will set the standard for phones again. sigh.

I prefer sliders and samsung make the best looking sliders. Oh and i've tested out the samsung D840 with the bluetooth and it works.

You've go to go with what you like. I see the poles heading towards a landslide in favour of the moto, I say be different and get a samsung. Choice is yours.

FYI - Apple owns no patents for the 'phone' part of their new iphone, so the standards are still set by Nokia/SonyEricsson/Motorola. If you've ever used a SonyEricsson W800 you would never need an ipod.

I got my folks the Samsung T619 (not T629)….for free

I had the original Motorola V3 and now use the Samsung D900. The Samsung rocks the socks off the Motorola...everything from reception, user interface and software stability.

I agree...if you own a SonyEricsson you probably wouldn't need a iPod. But people keep snapping up iPods. I loved it. but, i have a Zune Player, and a Sony Ericsson P990i, i hate the firmware on it, and it has its bugs, but love the phone. as for the Zune player, ..... i could not ask for more. it really is an iPod killer. unfortunately no one will understand the dfference between quality and whats "hip" lol.
