Also, please let me know what kind of runs, times or other items you would like and I try to get these up as soon as I can. I am with you that the more out there about all the kits the better, so I am trying to do my part here!

No problem -

"Handful" of cars maybe too general, I will try and be more specific for you. I know of 3 Gintani cars that are OTS kits. These Gintani cars are local to me, I've seen them, we pal around together now and then at car meets, etc. and one of the owners is a BMW tech. Their cars do have thousands of miles on them, from what they've told me, I know they've had them on the cars for a good amount of time.

I have not seen an ESS car in Socal, not sure if there is one, regardless I have no doubt there will be eventually, but I do know of three ESS cars that have posted about the amount of milage that are on certain cars, you, Roman and their track car. I have an interest in both kits, currently they both appear to be reliable and fast, there is nothing wrong with comparing them, of course in a mature and level headed way.

I would love to see some times from you, and did appreciate your runs with Jim's car. These three things satisfy me the most! But please don't feel the need to have to do them for me, lol, I was just stating what interests me, cleary others might not care for this stuff, fair enough.

1. Vbox times - 60-130MPH, verified no more than 3% slope
2. 1/4 mile times, ET's are what get all the attention, but traps tell you a great deal
3. Comparo runs - Nothing like lining them up, but of course only when safe to do so.

Sam, thanks for the luck and we'll see what happens. I do have the 3.62 diff, so my car may start in a different gear compared to yours. I'll do some practice runs and see what we can put down!

I appreciate your clarification and also your request for what you are looking for to measure the car's performance. I'm going to do the VBOX runs this weekend for sure and then I'll try to work on the 1/4 times and traps. Comparo runs are more difficult to setup, but if I run them I'll post them up. One of these days we will get all the SC cars together and do some serious comparos! At any rate, driving these SC M3's is exhilarating and thrilling.

Sounds good! Couldn't agree more, these cars are so much fun. It will be interesting to see how the 3.62 gearing helps as well.

Yeah, I had them installed before I took delivery of the car last year! They make 1st and 2nd gear very short, but extremely fast! I have to pay extra attention as they as the car is lightening through the first two gears and the SC gets to redline almost immediately!

it seems like a good thing for when your engine was N/A but isnt that too much now? seems like you should get a lower ratio, then first would be a bit more useable

DCT gear ratio stock is 3.15
6MT gaear ratio stock is 3.85

Makes me sort of interested in making the minimal change to a 3.91 or 4.10
But at this point its pretty much perfect.

Gintani and ESS are the only companies you actually hear about right now running a reliable product and with a lot of miles on cars.
Both kits appear to have over 8-10 kits out there and are running street, quarter and track
Right now I wouldn't trust anyone else but these two. The customers are happy and that is what counts. Both companies obviously are doing something right.

As for the ESS kits getting worked on, the problems with them not running around is the weather not because they're sitting around in a shop.

Nice run Sammy, you will definitely improve upon that with more practice and potentially swapping to different meats, again though great start!

This is the kind of competition between brands I love to see. You, Drew, and Robert deserve major props for pushing the envelope as well, congrats!

It's going to be a good year for German performance sedans.

This is what we need here, some healthy competition. Everyone with blowers should post up some V box runs just to get and Idea of the cars power (including me, which I will ). Obviously driver and tires influence times but everyone can get atleast an Idea. No need for us to Talk shit amongs each other cause at the end we all have M3s and are making them faster to beat AMGs, P cars, etc. Obviously we all want to have the the kit with the most power but Dyno charts and bs talking on forums does nothing for people interested in an Sc kit. Im sure we would all be alot more help by posting hard facts, like 1/4 mile times, 1/8 mile times, v box runs, comparo video runs etc. We all rep for M cars.

On another note u guys were discussing blowers, customer and mileage. Gintani has about 3-4 customers all getting blown with in the next few weeks. Also I beleive my car is has the most miles out of any Supercharged customer car at this time. 15,000 going on 16,000 problem free

sammy,

The 11.59@119.75 was my C63 (not Keith's, Keith ran the 8.46 60-130 correct) with our v2 tuning, airboxes/filters, and DRs. Nothing else.

I didn't have a Vbox at that time, pass was made over a year ago now.

Aside from Keith however I do have the Q/F C63 out there, even though it hasn't been to a strip in a while (our last two rentals were cancelled).

We have enough C63s running around now that I can jump to a different platform, which is what I'm currently excited about.

Love the C63 but I get bored quick.

Thanks
Andy

If there are any E90 M3 owners that would like to meet up and beat on my C63 before I dump it feel free to PM. It's an insanely fun car with just bolt-ons.
