It seems to be slightly less harsh but the road noise is still there. I haven't done anything except drive at highway speed and no real brisk accelerations yet. I'll do that after the first oil change.
I assume yours is still on track for delivery?

I think so. I'm guessing since mine was scheduled for delivery next week it should have already been on the water or even at the port.

The issue now appears to be with the backup cameras. According to another owner in waiting there aren't enough cameras at the VPC center to outfit all the GT-Rs that were ordered with that option and there is no telling when a fresh supply will be delivered from Japan.

At this point I really don't know what to expect. My dealer told me Friday that my car was still showing a 3/25/11 delivery, but I'm guessing it will be later this week before Nissan even has time to start updating their dealers on the true status of ordered cars.

I hope your delivery comes quickly. The backup camera is a nice addition.

Thanks. I hope to get my car soon, but really it is a small thing compared to what the folks in Japan are facing.

I hate you still.

Congrats on the new beast.

I drove one on the track in January (previous gen of course) and have a whole new respect for Godzilla. Amazing car.

Keeping this one 'til...what...June?

Nope, this one is a keeper. Of course my definition of "keeper" is a car that stays in my garage for more than 12 months.

Very nice, I use to not like the design, but really like what they did with the front bumper, the refreshening looks good, I'm really going to consider moving over to the GTR,

The 18k mile service is pretty expensive because they replace the tranny and diff fluids. Normal oil changes aren't any more than what I paid on my Lexus IS-F or Porsche 997. Where things get really expensive on the GT-R is when you need to do a complete brake job. I've heard most dealers charge around $5k for new rotors and pads.

I went out and launched mine for the first time. I got a crappy launch due to traction issues(cold weather and a little residual gravel on the highway) and still managed a 3.2 second 0-60 and a 7.3 second 0-100. These are dead stop readings(no foot rollout) from my Vbox.

That is awesome. I've only got 250 miles on mine so no launches yet. After 600 miles it is on!

It is crazy how fast GTRs really are. I still don't understand how they got a reasonably large and heavy car with 500hp to 0-60 in 3 sec.

I would love to have a GTR in the stable but I think I'm sticking to a GT3 for the time being since I already have something with back seats.

I swapped rides with a guy from the NAGTROC last year and I was really impressed with how fast the GTR was. Very cool car! Sounds like a Dyson on steroids...LOL!

The new 2012 model must be phenomenal.

Can't wait to hear how it goes for you. A real LC is great.

I still would love to have a GT3. I think I'm going to wait for the 991 and PDK(oh the sacrilege).
The new GTR is quite a bit quicker than the old one, which is saying something. Without LC just power braking my 2009 GTR, I'd hit 60 in 3.5-3.7 and 100 in the low 8s with a good lauch.

All wheel drive is the major reason, the car just goes, no fuss at the line.. and of course FI which means a whole lot of torque.

Congrats to both of you. I can't decide which color suits the car better; love em both. The visual updates really work well. Of course, the added power and other improvements aren't bad either!

Sacrilege nothing. The 991 GT3 with PDK should be wicked. It will likely be late 2013 before we see one. I'm in.
