You can't get a kit like this for the E46 for under 10k, I wouldn't count on it for the E92.

Agree. I would rather be blown than stroked.

Sticky is a buddy of mine, but all he said was in past experiences with OTHER kits they're priced this way.

There could be a chance that these companies can come out with a kit for under $10,9,8 etc too.
First and foremost no one took his word as the Bible of pricing for aftermarket parts. He made guess on a possible price and I commented on THAT price, and the fact that it would be hard for me to swallow at that price. Take it easy champ. If it'll make you happy I'll ask the Admin to police against speculation.

P.S. Thinking that they will release an FI kit for half what they charge for the E46 kit is a prayer.

A stroker M3 would obiously be worth more money and unique than a supercharged one at the time of sale. Although , I know some people dont care how power is made.

Unique, absolutely, but from the history that I have seen modded cars sell for, it is difficult to recoup modification money.

The supercharger can be bolted off and the car returned to stock. The stroker must stay the way it is. The market and potential buyers is smaller for the stroked vehicle.

Either way, I would rather have a stroker. I would also like 20k in my pocket though

I agree. Cudos to those getting the RD stroker motor . But more than likely they will never see that money back. But if you can afford 40k cash for an engine i dont think your very worried about cash flow They will be lucky if they can sell the car at the value at that time plus 20k. That's probly stretching it too. But you bought it to enjoy the car and have fun so why worry about residual values?

I hope it wont be more than 15k cause thats already pushing it for my budget

Transmissions are rated on torque not power. The likely estimate is based on the Getrag 7DCI600 capacity is about 440 ft lb @ 9000 rpm which should be plenty for the next generation M5.

Do you think the VF will actually push enough boost to fail their DCT transmission? That will be an expensive repair if so.

Yes, and you realize power is torque x rpm / 5250? Power is a function of torque, so if you are making increased power through the rev range you understand you are making increased torque, right? So if you can make 440 pound feet at 8000 rpm, how much power are you making?

I don't know what VF is going to do exactly but if DCT handles whatever they do, that is good enough for me.

Who did you hear that from? They said they were not going to look into doing a turbo kit for the E92 M3 for a while.
