Experience with BimmerRetrofit's backup camera?

Has anyone had experience with the below camera? It sounds like a good deal with built-in coding and totally self-installed. I would love to hear about anyone's experience with this system, thanks!

I have one and it works OK, but the only issue I have with it is for what ever reason, the back up picture shows up a little distorted when I first drive the car. It looks like it is receiving some interference from something. If I drive it a little bit then use the back up camera, for what ever reason then it works fine. I'm not sure if there is any way to address this or it is just my car or what.

Thanks for the info, I also have an E90 M3, so that makes me a bit nervous...but I really like the iDrive integration and havn't seen it anywhere else.

I've got the Bimmertech rear camera with dynamic lines on my E90.
Works great for me and the picture is crystal clear and has good resolution at night.

I've had mine installed for a week now and it's brilliant. Dynamic lines work perfectly and the auto electrician who installed it said it was good quality and great to work with.

Pat, can you elaborate a little bit more on when to get one or the other? I have an 2011.75 E90 and trying to decide.

A quick follow-up to my original post, I decided to go with the BimmerTech OEM camera. While both companies gave me great pre-sales support, I really liked the BimmerTech dynamic parking lines option and Patrys was really helpful with all of my questions. Several people have talked about their install experience, but here are a few notes from my self-install:
- First, the camera and dynamic lines work very, very well. The camera is a great quality, and the solution seems very well put together.
- Getting coding time with the BimmerTech team was very easy to schedule and the team was helpful as well.
- The instructions are very good and give you a solid feel, especially for the most challenging parts, like dash removal, wiring, etc.
- It took about 10 (very leisurely) hours to to do the whole job, including tracking down a torx head in the right size, figuring out how the rear seat comes out, etc.
- The most challenging part was getting all of the components into the limited space behind the head unit, this took over an hour for me.
- The only "glitch" I have had was one time about a week after install when I fired the car up and put it into reverse quickly, then back out quickly, and it seemed to mess up the head unit (red screen followed by black screen). I had to shut off the car completely twice to get any functionality from the head unit back...it was a bit scary, but has not re-appeared since. I'll post here if it returns, but so far it is very well integrated!

Overall, I'm glad I went with BimmerTech and would recommend them to anyone on this forum!

Well, to be fair to Patrys, I got the two different "Bimmer" systems confused and asked him to comment on a competitors issues (not my intent)...so he didn't really have a winning answer in that situation. Sorry Patrys!
