Good stuff, have some fun with this for awhile, and then take the next step.

I know what you mean about the cold start! I use to have a fairly loud exhaust on my STi when I lived in a condo. It shook the whole building in the morning - not cool.

Now I live 5 mins "in the sticks" so I'm good to go ; )

Enjoy it!
lucky! And thank you

Buying mods before your car comes is the best way to make the time go by faster works like a charm every time.
Haha. Too bad I have no funds for a while

You'll love the boots, have to get the new competition brake handle to go with it as well

Thanks for this write up. I just recently hoped on the Akra Evo exhaust from an Eisenmann Sport with a Fabspeed xpipe. I have to say, hands down the best exhaust out there. Great bassy sound and awesome performance. I have been debating on getting the ESS tune and I have made my mind.

all you need to make the exhaust note of the Akra sound better is the ESS VT2-600 Supercharger. i know it got rid of the weird crackly noise around 4000 RPM for me.

Sorry, I still don't understand if eliminating the cold start is safe for the engine longer-term. Does it really have any impact on the motor as long as you're not aggressive from start-up? I guess I don't fully get what cold start is doing other than maybe circulating the oil faster (maybe that's important enough?).

Cold start on the factory software is designed to get the stock cats up to operating temps quickly. You should always properly warm up the vehicle before you drive it hard.

That's really interesting. I wouldn't have thought the purpose is primarily for the cats. Am I correct to assume that warming the cats gets them to the most optimal temperature for reducing emissions, and as such, you shouldn't care unless you're on your way to hug a tree and recycle your organic juice bottle? Thanks, Roman!

I'm assuming you didn't get any before and after dyno? Did you do anything else besides the Akra Evo? i.e. filter, pulley, or any other engine mods?

^I wish I would have done a before and after Dyno but I didn't

As far as perf mods go all I have is EVO + ESS Tune for now. I may more later down the line but the car is plenty fast enough for me now.
