New Audi RS4 Avant

Hi guys,

Check this video review of the new Audi RS4, I am quite tempted as a replacement for my M3. It provides the AWD which for me is of some importance, as I am not able to use the M3 during winter, and quite a lot of practicality in comparison to my E92. It also sounds great...

What do you think?

I've always liked Audi's styling and this one looks pretty good, although, I like the older front facia better. I'd probably opt for the RS5 instead.

Yeah, but C63 is rwd only, so awd would be handy for me, that's why I am considering the RS4.

If it was available in the U.S. I'd have one already. Closest we have is the CTS-V wagon and E63. I'm contemplating the CTS-V even though I'm not thrilled about the design.

Yeah, I'd love an Avant as well. If the CTS-V didn't look like it was designed exclusively with a ruler, I'd be looking into them.

I know you like AWD, but what about Avants? I would personally opt for a used B7 RS4. It's manual only, offers a similar AWD setup, and looks so much nicer IMHO.

If you like the Avant I would still opt for the B7 RS4 Avant.

Good luck.

Looks awesome. I wish this car would come here, we'd eat it up.

The perfect Colorado winter mobile and god bless Audi for that naturally aspirated V8

Not a big fan of avant, but there will be no sedan version of RS4, and the RS5 is a coupe, so I would appreciate the extra two doors of RS4.

My wish list would be as follows:
-double clutch transmission
-V8 NA engine
-awd
- four doors
- 0-124 mph around 15 seconds
All this I can check with the new RS4

It's also about traction from a dig....more often than not I'm spinning the rear tires while in 1st or 2nd gear, especially on the slippery city tarmac.
If only the M3 would offer awd as an option....

If I had some little ones, the Avant would be at the top of my list. I imagine the engine response is similiar to the M3. I'd be totally OK with that.

Just a tease from Audi, the RS4 (i.e. wagon) is not coming to the states. Want more, look at the new RS6.

At least they are trying to gauge interest. I dont know what it is with Americans and the stigma of owning a wagon. I love them. If the M3 came in a E91 version, thats what I would be driving...

I wouldve thought that this guy helped out with the cause:
