Question re: rolling fenders

I read yet another thread where there was a suggestion that somebody roll their fenders in order to fit larger tires on their E90/E92 M3. Last time I checked, my fenders were plastic / composite and did not have the traditional flange that could be rolled.

Could somebody enlighten me to exactly how one would roll fenders on the E90/E92 M3?

To me it seems impossible, yet I keep reading references to it being made.

M3s fenders are rolled out the box !
Get the right offset that will allow you to run the size tire you want.

That's what I thought. What I don't understand is all the people on this board recommending that someone get their fenders rolled...

I'm not looking to run anything larger (I run 275/30s up front and 295/30s in back and they work well). I was just puzzled with all these people recommending to M3 owners to get fenders folled.

There's nothing to roll. The fronts would be impossible even if they had a fender lip since they are composite. There isn't a fender lip in the rear to roll.

True about the fronts.

Rears can be pulled - IND actually will do this and you can probably fit 335's.

Stock rears can fit 305's with the right offset.

Pulling the rear fenders out is totally different than rolling them.
