Audi TTRS looks amazing but it's so small and impractical. I'd still go with the M3.

Those videos are so inaccurate especially cars are geared differently and a 1 sec head start will win the race. I didn't see signal to go or anything. But when one car is much faster than the other by seeing one car taking off first it does give an estimated rolling performance idea.

I feel at 60mph is usually 2nd gear redline for most cars. Rolling at 62mph in 3rd may be a better race.

yeah and once they pass 60mph the M3 stops them...

...also, the AWD advantage can be negated with a nice set of tires on the M3

I was at about 3,5k rpm in second at 30 which is a bit low, lots of turbos pwned me thanks to their low end torque. All of them where tuned except the ttrs.

I would drive fast too. I would hate to be caught with that music playing in the cabin.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on the M3. The S4 has a pretty under-rated motor. M3's dyno somewhere around 320-350 at the wheels. S4 will dyno around 280-310 awhp. The S4, being super charged, is pretty tunable. Buy it for $50,000ish and a $1,500 tune and it putting 350-360whp or so. Tune the M3 and get +10whp. Stock for stock I hear you, but the combination of AWD and and low-end torque and the S4 will have 2+ car lengths to about 120mph. After that the M3 runs it down, but who cares about 0-150mph. In the real world the S4 is a pretty cool car. Better mpg and much, much better interior. I originally ordered a B8 S4, but Audi was having serious production issues (9 month build time). Loaded Audi was still $8,000 less than my stripped M3. I do agree the M3 is a better car, but don't be so quick to discount Audis.

R8 definitely has a bit more grunt. TTRS did okay through 2nd gear though. Considering it has AWD and quite a bit less rated HP, that's not too bad. M3 has it's weight penalty working against it.

ignorance...you are loaded with it. I'm surprised to see you have an M3...the M3 guys are usually pretty classy and appreciate (and are knowledgeable about) other marques and models. Your comments are what I typically hear from the guys with an //M badge preceeding 323i.

The TTRS is bone stock, and is down about 75 hp to the M3. Still only by about 3 cars in a run to 150mph. Not bad. Tune that TTRS (just a tune) and it picks up an easy 80-100hp...and will put buslengths on the M3.

Still, how about these two 11 year old RS4s vs the same M3? Their AWD managed well, despite your rule that no audis have anything from a roll. lol.

Here's a modded M3 vs. a bone stock TTRS from a dig. Takes the M3 till about 150mph to catch up (or whatever the top of 5th gear is)

Agree to some extent, although i bot this car because of its prowess around the track, if I wanted a stop light racer would've bot the c63. All cars in this class are pretty nice. As a matter of fact most cars are pretty decent these days.
