Akrapovic E92 M3 Slip on exhaust

Well, after much soul searching, reading, research and thinking I finally dove in and purchased the Akrapovic Slip-on exhaust. Picked it up from one of the first authorized retailers in Canada. All I can say so far is Wow!. The install went flawlessly with the removal being the trickiest part. e decided to remove the rear mounting bracket with the muffler. Made for real easy removal from the muffler after. All together with jacking the car, having a coffee break and just staring at the exhaust it took 1 1/2hrs to do in my garage.

Congrats, also,,,,,, I've had my Slip-On system installed for past 2 Weeks and am very impressed. Am still contemplating purchasing remainder of system to go full Evolution, but Turner Motorsports has advised me to hold off until Akra comes up with a totally satisfactory solution for preventing CEL's when the HFC section is installed.

I'm expecting to receive mine mid-next week.... I'll have it paired up with the Fabspeed xpipe and HFC's so that I don't have to worry about CEL

There is a deleter that comes with the full system that removes the CEL.

As for geWow request on impressions, these are my initial ones. System is 5 days old.

Overall the exhaust has a deeper tone to it. Very nice. In the low end of the RPM scale up to apporx 2200 (windows down) there is a much deeper tone (Windows up) not as noticeable. Between 2200 - 3500 the ability to detect the tone slowly disappears so that from 3500 up the difference (windows up or down) is slightly more than stock. In other words, it's not overbearing. But, what is really nice is the noticeable exhaust tone when you downshift (I have the 6 spd and do heel toe shifting). It sends a nice shiver down the spine. Stock was pretty good. This does all that I want and is music to my ears without setting off car alarms. I've already posted a short audio clip and when I can I'll do a better one.

Don't know about the slip on but the full system does actually get louder in time.

That may be true. But suspected that might be the case so, went with the slip-on. Also, that way I have no warranty issues

After a 1000 mile trip, my Slip on has gotten noticeably louder. Not objectionable, but definitely enhanced volume............
