Centering Ring for GT4 RE rims

All,

Where are you getting the Centering Rings to run these rims on the stock M3? I have a set for my 2008 E92 M3 and I am not having much traction in finding a set. Also did you run a spacer and centering ring for the rear or did you have a custom spacer fabricated?

Thanks,

Rob

Rob,

Were able to make hubentric rings for our customers to fit them, and then allows use of any off the shelf spacer.

I actually ordered a set of rings today and should have them sometime next week. Thanks for the info.

Also is anyone having issues running these on the street? I am planning on running these on my daily driver and I don’t want end up with a bent rim. It seems that I would be better off on an 18 race wheel than some of the oversized 19 and 20 inch street rims people are running. One would think that they would end up getting bent very easily!

One last question.. So is anyone running the stock tire fitment 245-40-18 on the front 9.5 inch rims? I'm a bit worried that the tires are going to look stretched but don’t want to splurge for a new set of Michelins right now (current tires only have about 4k on them). I'm guessing the ideal setup for these wheels would be 265-35-18 in the front and 288-35-18 in the back.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

The BBS Motorsports wheels are meant for track use. While they may be as strong as or stronger than road/DOT tested wheels, they are nor officially certified for road use. They should be plenty strong for daily use in my opinion though. a 245 will looks a bit stretched on a 9.5. We usually use 265 or 275 on that size wheel in front and 285in back.
