Rental car until the Takata airbag recall?

So read on another thread that people in the US are getting rental cars until their airbags can be replaced with the recall. Does that apply to BMWs in Canada?

I also got a letter, saying the parts are not in stock. It says they will send me another letter if they have parts in stock.
