Engine problems after installing Eissenman Race?

Hi,

My car was working perfectly until I decided to install the Eissenman Race exhaust only system and 2 weeks later..

DSC + EDC + FlatTireMonitor + Engine Failure + RPms limited to 5k...(all this error lights came into my iDrive).. WTF!

I can't say the system was the root cause of the problem, but I that has been the only thing that has been changed or modified in my car since then. Has anyone experienced any problems after installing this exhaust? also do you think there is a chance this modification might have affected the car?

Sounds like a coincidence.

What wires should I look for? The dealer installed me the exhaust so I think they should know what kind of wires to cut or not.

It's just bad luck man. I had a throttle actuator go out about 3 days after I installed a catback last year. Nothing more than a coincidence.

It's probably a coincidence, but check to make sure the hanger that is attached to differential is still properly in place. Quite a few people have removed that bolt and forgot to reinstall it. Eventually the Diff will fall out of place and cause a very messy, very expensive problem.

Just to re-iterate everyone else's notion, this definitely seems like a coincidence. I had the Eisenmann Race installed on my car and haven't ran into any of those issues.

I hope those issues get resolved and you are back to enjoying your exhaust

Wink That really sucks

What part of Texas do you live in and which Stealership. If you don't have a warranty and you have a BMW CCA membership you can take 20% off the total cost depend on which part of Texas and the Stealership you use send me a PM and for those guys out there with no warranty you might want to look into BMW CCA as well to save you some money when you have to come out of pocket
