Goodies from BMW dealer

Got my goody bag this morning from my local dealer.

1 * BMW Performance High Gloss Black kidney’s (Left/Right)
1 * M sport Cap
1 * LED light – (Fits in glove compartment)

I also found out from the parts department the new MY2009 i-drive controller knob fits MY2008 cars too and only £11.00

MY2008 i-drive controller knob cost £40.00

Both parts on 08 and 09 what the knob connects to are the same, therefore the knob fitting must be the same even though knobs are different. If that makes sense

I've read elsewhere about the 09 knob fitting 08 models... the new shortcut buttons around the knob work as well on 08 models. The problem is that the cut out required in the centre console for the 09 knob is a different size and shape to the 08 cut out, therefore unless you're prepared to take a hacksaw to your centre console, you'd need to purchase an 09 centre console,... and that won't be £11

Best to stick with what I've got. No way going to the touch the M3 with any sort for cutting instrument. Thanks for the info though.
