But it still revs up to like 15k-16k rpm....i'm sure it'll still make some nice noise....
well...we don't know until the first car rolls out on winter testing in just over a year...

It was like......WHOA!!!!!!!!!! What happened there? Looks like the puncture and slide damaged a linkage on that side 'cause when one of the pit crew pushed the brake assy, he gestured to not place the new tire on.

And once again, Webber gets hosed due to bad tire strategy in waiting for Meds until the end of the race. Damn he can't get a break.

Good race for Hammy overall and good strategy. Good race overall.

Overall a good race, much better than the past two years.
Hamilton was gifted on the first lap and he capitalized immediately. A great drive from Button driving around a troubled KERS issue affecting his lap time and brake balance.

Vettel's puncture was unfortunate but he's glad he rather have it now than at a critical time fighting for champion. Also he kept his cool and very professional understanding how the suspension broke and trying to figure out the cause of the sudden puncture. And also stay with the race engineers throughout the race. You don't see often from others, where they'd just shake hands and went back to their motorhome.

The BBC Forum is showing Red Bull engineers and mechanics are taking the floor of Seb's car apart. They are suspecting the close of the under-floor edge was cutting the tire apart.

Given if the tire pressure is lower on the grid, it has more movement and on the left turn of Turn 1, the side wall starting to move inside because of the load and cut the tire apart.

Don't forget he's got both WDC and WCC already, of course its nice to win more races. But it is not "that" critical that he retired and lost 25 points now.

If this happened exactly one year ago, then he would lost the WDC and Alonso would be three time world champions.

Agreed, great race! I'd just add three things:

1.) DRS made a major difference - I think the zones were perfect, and led to some great wheel-to-wheel racing. Kudos to the officials for getting the zones right.

2.) Alonso was hugely impressive as well. To finish ahead of Webber and Button AND to nearly get the lead during the 2nd pit stop again speaks highly of his ability to wrangle every tiny bit out of a Formula 1car.

3.) Vettel reminds me increasingly of Schumacher. Remember 2006 when his engine blew while in the lead at Suzuka, while being on equal points with Alonso? His reaction was to go and console his pit crew instead of sulking. It's the mark of a true champion, IMO.

Exactly, hard to say how it will sound. The turbos of the 80s sure sounded great!

Seb catches a very uncharacteristic bad break. Shame, but he's got nothing to complain about and I'm sure he won't. He's a class act.

I thought it was interesting that neither Alonso nor Button congratulated Hamilton in parc ferme even though both walked right by him on the way to their weigh-ins. Might mean nothing, but makes you wonder.

DRS is kinda hit or miss this race, we saw a few easy overtakes but seems trouble to Mark Webber as he brakes so early as if he had no confidence on the car at all.

Btw...kinda piss me off that the slow cars don't even have a clue what the F they are doing!!! not just one car that ignoring the blue flag, but many got away from it.

This is ridiculous especially on this kinda of wide track, its not like Monaco or Hungary narrow tracks!!!

Well, it produced some great racing between Jenson and Mark, Diresta and buemi, and others. Overtakes never seemed super easy too- I saw few cars just sailing past.

And yes, what's wrong with Mark? He just seems so uneasy with his car, compared to Vettel.
