I don't think the M3 can get close to the Porsche or Nissan. Both cars are not clumsy into turns and their 4wd and torque advantage will slingshot them out of corners faster, not to mention higher power down the straights. But I do wonder about the GT-R having possible traction advantage with the freshly laid rubber by the M3.

Also, I'm wondering what was the owner of the GT-R thinking tracking the car without 1st running in the engine.

The GT-R is just simply faster. There's nothing else to it.

There's not much doubt that GT-R and TT are in another league performance wise, but using the M3 to dry the track just serves one purpose: to bash it. Another lapse by Carmagazine. Great!

Best regards, south

It may turn out to be, but that one test under those conditions doesn't prove it conclusively.

I fixed that for you.

FYI I've heard of Lambo, Ferrari and Porsche owners putting down deposits to get GT-Rs. The demo it appeals to is people who want a fantastic performance car and aren't too worried about the badge.

Huh, most people that I associate with on other forums; Rennlist, Rennteam, E46 Forums, even some on MY350Z, consider this car a huge aesthetic disapointment and would never consider it. (Looks wise.) Performance of course it will own.

Most F car and P car owners can be said to be on the snob side. Most will look down on it because its a Nissan. Doesnt really matter to them if itll keep up or beat their more expensive German counterparts.

I agree that If youre a real enthusiast the car will surely appeal to your senses. But its been my experience that most Lambo, Ferrari, Porsche owners will not consider a Nissan in their stable.

Just my .05

I would! The GT-R is fast, no doubt about that whatsoever, but it's styling just doesn't do anything for me. The Porsche, well what can I say. It's like I've seen it before many, many times. They all look the same!

The M3 is different. It has the looks to go with it's power and happens to be the car that stirs my emotions the most.

The GT-R is nice but I read on autospies that the dealer mark up is making this car VERY expensive > 100k. I read that Nissan is trying to get dealers to stick to msrp. Good luck trying to get one.

Lambo, Ferrari, and P-car clearbra/tint customers of mine bought Evos/STi for their daily driver and track duties. they use it to hone their skills so they dont have to worry about crashing their high $$$ toys. the GT-R is no different to these rich DUDEs
