Thanks for ride along OC3. It was after the ride along that I dropped my lap time by almost 2 seconds by seeing you in action and yours line. Nice saves with quick hands is what I saw inside the car. The session that you rode along with me I ran a 2:03.6 and then the last session with the red group I ran my best time at 2:03.1.
Btw, there's a silver 2004 996 GT3 for sale on RL for $50k calling your name... |

That was really close with that spec Boxster, not sure I would have thought of honking... probably would have ended up in the dirt to avoid the collision. Nice job saving it
Sold in less than 1 day... not many for sale, when they are priced right, you have to be ready to pull the trigger as soon as you see them. |

As impressive as the GT3's are, I'm gonna, for now, focus on re-tuning my M3 suspension to get closer to it. I know, with M3 being such a large heavy pig and center of gravity being higher, it'll never get there (without going aero and other radical changes), but it'll be fun playing w/ the suspension setup to try. I'm sure I'll learn a few things along the way.

Gabe's and my suspension is setup almost the same: JRZ RS Pro, camber settings, TD tires, etc. What is different slightly are stiffness of rebound & compression settings, spring rates, TD width, camber plate brands, things like that. I mean, don't get me wrong, what I described when we were at CVR isn't like that at every corner I go through. If it was, I wouldn't be able to run at the pace that I've been without going off constantly, and I would be totally drained after each session. It's only at certain tight fast corners, such as Grapevine at BRP and T7 at CVR. Anyhow, time to re-think my compression & rebound settings, and take it from there - with possibly different spring rates and even swaybars eventually. Quote:
Furthermore, lap times to me is secondary. Enjoying each & every corners is more fun and setting up the car so that it would let me play in mid-corner would be totally enjoyable.
